From 1956 to 1964 I owned Cedarbrook Inn, an historic inn on the original stage road from Raymond to Wawona. I am now collecting information to prepare a historic report. Yosemite_ClubI've visited Yosemite since I was a tiny kid. Loved the views but especially the fish hatchery. Latter worked two summers at Wawona in the Coffee Shop next to the grocery store & P.O. Tourist from around the world, cowboys from the stables, summer rangers and Merlin Miller came by...John Curry & Nic Fiore were the two summer managers of the hotel. Dorm was the European plan Sequoia Hotel, which had been built for those who could not afford the Wawona Hotel's European plan. I'm looking for 19th century/early 20th century photographic postcards of people in the Park and surrounding areas. mg
Yosemite_ClubFirst visited Yosemite in 1959. Stayed in the Camp Mather area each summer for many years and have backpacked extensively in the wilderness above Hetch Hetchy. I am working on building a library of important 19th and early 20th century Yosemite literature.
